The RSS logo

RSS you say.

What is RSS and why do I care?

Well … RSS is “Really Simple Syndication”.
It is a format used to publish updated articles, stories and photographs for example.  These updates are generally called a “feed”.

Where RSS and feeds come in handy is that you don’t need to come back to a website to check to see if it has been updated.
By subscribing to the RSS feed, a message (like an email) will be sent to your reader when there is a new update.

We are publishing an RSS feed for the Global Dive website.

Click this link to subscribe to the RSS feed.

This means that you can subscribe to our feed and instead of a monthly newsletter, you can receive updates from us as and when they happen.

In order to read our updates, you will require an RSS reader.
This can be a piece of software that you install on your computer – new versions of Microsoft Outlook contain a reader, as does Mozilla Thunderbird – or it can be an online reader such as Google Reader.
When you click the RSS link, the feed will ask you how you want to subscribe (or read) the updates.
Choose the software or online reader that you prefer and away you go!
