Technical Diving

More and more people are beginning to realise that Technical Diving is very much the way of the future. The myth of it being "on the edge" or "risky" is well dispelled, and people are beginning to see what Technical Diving is really about - extending limits, but increasing safety!

Contrary to popular belief, technical diving is not complex and is not only for elite divers. Diving with mixed gases like Nitrox can not only be safer but can also significantly extend your bottom times on your dives.

Through the use of mixed gases and dive techniques, technical diving actually makes recreational diving even safer than more traditional diving techniques.

At Global Dive we can take you all the way from TDI Nitrox Diver through to TDI Dive Master or even TDI Instructor.

This is the entry level certification course for recreational divers wishing to utilise enriched air nitrox (EAN) as a breathing gas. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for using nitrox mixes from 22% to 40% oxygen content.

$295 including 2 dives

Advanced Nitrox Diver

This course examines the use of EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for optimal mixes to a depth of 130fsw/40msw. The object of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilising EAN 21 through 100% (oxygen) for dives not requiring staged decompression.

$495

Decompression Procedures Diver

This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 150fsw/45msw unless taught in conjunction with advanced nitrox, Extended Range or Advanced Wreck Courses. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures (including oxygen and nitrox) are presented.

$495

Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures Diver

When done as a combined course

$795

Extended Range Diver

This course provides the training and experience required to competently utilise air for dives up to 180 fsw/55msw that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox mixtures (2) during decompression.

$695/ $495 when completed in conjunction with Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures

Entry Level Trimix Diver

This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilise breathing gasses containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilising nitrox and/or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 200fsw/60msw.
