I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the world of diving at the ripe old age of 9. Since then I have been in around and underwater as much as possible, and now I have made it a lifestyle. I lived and taught in the Red sea for a year before moving to New Zealand. Other countries I have been privileged to dive include Australia, Mexico, Turkey and a few more.

I enjoy all types of diving from reef to wreck or even sludge diving (and I have done my fair share of that!) but my favorite type of diving is cave diving. This is only a recent hobby but I can see it being on the cards for years to come. Cave diving is not for everyone but the thing that draws my enthusiasm to it is the possibility for true exploration. Caves are one of the last frontiers for mankind, and rightly so. Currently myself and a select few are actively searching for flooded caves in New Zealand with the hope of not only exploration but to grow the diving community’s knowledge of the sport. We have a few spots on the “diveable” list but New Zealand being New Zealand it is a logistical nightmare to get kit in, but don’t worry where there is a will there is a way. P.S does anyone know any good helicopter pilots?

I have just taken up underwater photography mainly so that I can show my non diving friends what excites me about the underwater realm but also for a new challenge.

My goals for the future are to extend my knowledge of almost all types of diving so that my teaching will continue to progress. I am very passionate about the sport and I’d like to make other divers alike.
