It really amazes me how many very talented people we meet through the dive centre here at Global Dive.
Thornbury Central Otago Pinot Noir 2008
Just a couple of days after meeting up with DJ Gareth-B (previous post), we have top winemaker and also Global Dive club member Simon Fell in the store.
Simon completed his Open Water course with Anna last year – His course was memorable for Anna because it isn’t very often that a student pays his “dive fines” with award winning wine that he has made himself!!!
Simon, winemaker for Thornbury wines has just won a Gold medal for his 2008 vintage Central Otago Pinot Noir in the Liquorland International Wine Competition.
Anna and I decided to try a bottle of this wine last weekend and agree with the judges, it is sensational!!
Now the rest of the Global Dive team are competing with Anna to be Simon’s instructor on his Advanced Open Water course.
