Club Night for November will be held on Monday 30th November from 6pm.
This month, Bruce Goorney from the White Shark Conservation Trust will be talking to us about the Trust and their work.
The White Shark Conservation Trust was established in 2009 to promote awareness of the need to conserve and protect the white shark, Carcharodon Carcharias in (though not limited to) New Zealand waters and educate the New Zealand public about the animal.
The Trust provides informative bi-monthly newsletters, social events and fund raising activities in which families and friends are encouraged to participate.
White shark researchers within New Zealand, and overseas will be invited to present seminars on their work and provide open discussion forums.
All are encouraged to get involved by joining us (membership is free) and helping us promote and educate.
We have a web site which details us at www.whitesharkconservationtrust.org.
The need to protect these fabulous animals cannot be understated and it is my hope that in the short talk I give, I will be able to impart some of my passion and knowledge to you all.
We are currently promoting our next fundraising event, a Christmas Dinner and dance with live band, and spot prises to give away.
This is at The Osborne Bar, Osborne Street, Newmarket from 7pm on Friday 11th December.
